Umar bin Al Khattab (رضي الله عنه)’s Extremely Beautiful Duaa after Reciting the Quraan

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
وروي في (( جواهر الآداب )) أنه روي عن عمر بن الخطاب رضي الله عنه أنه كان يقول
 اللهم ارزقني التفكر والتدبر لما يتلوه لساني من كتابك ، والفهم له ، والمعرفة بمعانيه
والنظر في عجائبه ، والعمل بذلك ما بقيت ، إنك على كل شيء قدير
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Translation:

Umar bin al Khattab RA has been reported to have said (made duaa):

O Allah, grant me the ability to contemplate and ponder with what my tongue recites from Your Book (Quraan), and the understanding of it, and the knowledge-based recognition of its meanings, and to see/experience its wonders, and implementation (action/deeds) as long as I live. Indeed You are over all things Competent.

[From: Jawahirul Adab]

Transliteration:

Allahumar-zuQnee-yataffakura-wat-tadabbura lima yatlu-hu leesani min-kitabik, wal-fahma-lahu, wal-ma’-arifata bi-ma’aa-neeh, wan-nadzara fee ‘ijaa-eebih, wa-‘amali bi-dhalika ma baQayt, innaka ‘Ala kulli shay-inñ Qadeer.
