Provisions & Ease through Seeking Forgiveness

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

True happiness is not in attaining what you wish to have. It is acceptance of your circumstances whatever they may be (good/bad) and achieving contentment with all your affairs due to the deep realization within your heart that Allah SWT wishes khayr for you. That He wishes that you don’t forget Him for your needs and that you keep turning to Him when you get lost or things seem confusing…

I’d like to share a beautiful story that I read which reminded me of what I had forgotten and strengthened my faith in Allah SWT even more alhamdolilah. Remember that provision can be anything and it need not just be money. It could be a job, education, a child, a spouse, time – any of the needs you may be seeking.

Please share this with everyone inshaa’Allah because you never know who needs a reminder:

A woman said:

“My husband died when I was in my thirties, and I had five children, boys and girls, from him. My world turned dark aroun dme, and I wept until I feared I would lose my sight. I complained about my bad luck and fell into despair and depression. My children were small, and our income was not sufficient. I was spending carefully from the little money that our father had left for us. One day in my room, I turned on the radio, and tuned into the Holy Qur’an radio station. I head a Shaykh saying: ‘The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said:

‘Whoever prays to Allah a great deal for forgiveness, Allah will grant him relief from every distress and a way out from ever hardship.’

So after that I began to pray a great deal for forgiveness, and I told my children to do likewise. Only six months later, the developers came, bought some old property of ours, and paid us millions for it. My son became the first student in his region to memorize the entire Qur’an, and he became a focus of people’s care. Our house was filled with blessings and we attained the best standard of living. Allah has kept all my sons an daughters safe and soudn, and has taken away my worry, grief and depression. I have become the happiest of women.”

‘If you give in to despair, you will learn nothing and you will never find happiness.’

“…Certainly no one despairs of Allah’s Mercy except the people who disbelieve.”

-Qur’an, 12:87-
