الحمد لله رب العالمين وصلى الله وسلم على رسول الله وعلى آله وأصحابه ومن اهتدى بهديه إلى يوم الدين
SubhanAllah – the MuhSineen not only fulfill their obligations, they go that extra mile fearing Allah SWT and hoping to be forgiven. They don’t run after their rights when circumstances aren’t conducive to that but rather they run after giving rights to others who depend upon them. ‘Umar RA not only hastened to do good, he never revealed who he was. He could’ve just left the provisions but he also cooked. He not only cooked, he served. He not only served, he stayed ensuring that the children’s needs were met and despite all that never expressed fatigue and impatience. He responded so patiently to the woman and left, not seeking praise or honor from her. Why then shouldn’t ‘Umar RA be remembered until the end of times for his justice? Those who seek from Allah SWT are given according to the generosity from whom they seek! Remember this story when you feel weary of giving others their rights. This is the footsteps of those whom Allah SWT is pleased with then why would we take any other route no matter how difficult this one is? And Allah SWT knows best.
